After the experience of 2020, I strongly feel that we need to develop a Curriculum based on Character Building and we will have to go down to the grassroots level in our education system, to implement it from the beginning of the childs education. We will have to make it a part of their upbringing, where Parents and Teachers work hand in hand to focus on building a childs character as a part of their schooling. Teaching students with the current conventional curriculum and style will not be sufficient. Simply polishing their soft skills will certainly not be enough.

Schooling has to go beyond the traditional approach, and ensure that institutions add more value to the current education system by incorporating Character Building curriculum in a parallel manner. The curriculum should be inclusive and largely influenced by our great Vedas, Purans, Bhagwat Geeta, Jainsim, Buddhism etc.

Our coming generations will have to learn the Art of living and understand the way to live a Balanced Life. Right now, schools will have to develop their own mechanism to strike a balance between the conventional skill-based education and character-building education which shall run parallel to their CBSE or local board.

Its very important that we start creating such institutions for our future generations as soon as possible, where along with their conventional education they acquire healthy body and mind, develop gratitude for others, develop love and affection for living beings, learn to care for nature, understand social responsibility with a clear understanding of the Purpose of life and pass out of their school with a Strong Character.

I strongly believe that the almighty has assigned this responsibility to the teachers (Gurus) and they are fully capable of building a childs character. GururBrahma GururVishnu GururDevo Maheshwaraha, Gurur Saakshaat ParaBrahma Tasmai Sri Gurave Namaha

Guru is the Creator (Brahma), Guru is the Preserver (Vishnu), GuruDeva is the Destroyer (Maheshwara), Guru is the absolute (singular) Lord himself, Salutations to the Sri Guru.

Over the past decade, there has been a remarkable change in how we live and work. Our world and society are moving at a very fast pace. Technology has become an integral and indispensable part of our lives. The diverse range of opportunities presently available means that students have options and choices like never before. For our children to successfully adapt to the dynamically changing world, knowledge alone is not going to be enough. Skills and attitudes will play a key role in preparing them for a life where unlearning and relearning would be a regular and common feature.

With this commitment, Khaitan World School opens its door to provide a comprehensive, well-rounded education, built around the six pillars of excellence. From our school building to our curriculum and core beliefs, we are committed to create an environment which will provide authentic, unique and innovative learning experiences to promote their academic, physical, creative, and social-emotional development and make them future ready.

Our teachers will guide and support the students to explore, inquire and ask questions so that no matter what our students decide to become in future they will have the skills, attitude and flexibility which will make them well equipped for a constantly changing system.

Our belief about the importance of positive partnership between the parent community and school is manifested by this sanskrit phrase वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् (vasudhaiva kutumbakam). It promotes our belief that the school is one, close knit family where parents, teachers and students are valuable, involved and equal partners. At KWS we believe in building strong partnership between family and school in the endeavour to raise our children.

Together, we will help develop the social skills children need to help them become happy, confident, and emotionally competent individuals who are self-assured, can successfully manage themselves and contribute positively to the community and the world at large.

With a personal passion as an educationist, as a citizen and as a mother, I am delighted to embark on this exciting journey.

Welcome to the KWS learning community!

MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER – ANIRUDH KHAITAN
You can have all the knowledge you want but that doesn’t mean you are educated. Education is not about learning alphabets or about how to use addition and subtraction. These are merely tools to create a better future.
